I love reading the Laura Ingalls Wilder books to my homeschool kids. Mostly because they are so much more grateful of what they have compared to Laura back in her day. We recently attended a Laura Ingalls Museum and learned some history.

We also traveled to the country and visited the site where Laura was born and saw a replica of the house she lived in. In the photo below, you can see me and my youngest four kids standing near the replica cabin style house. My husband and adult son, Maris, also enjoyed the festivities.

I bought this book for myself this summer and I love it. It's very heavy, large and thick. Full of photos - tells you exactly how to knead the dough, etc. Amazing book at a great price today. This book also a Get 3 for the Price of 2 offer on the sale page.

I personally have this book and I love it because if I have some canned goods, I can look in this cookbook to see what I can make with it. Very handy to have in hard times or when the budget gets tight. This book also a Get 3 for the Price of 2 offer on the sale page.

​Grain Mill Attachment for Kitchen Aid​

In Maurizio's book, he recommends grinding your own wheat from wheat berries. This is the attachment that I have. I do put the hard red wheat berries through this grinder three times to get the consistency I want, but I would rather do that than pay for an expensive grain mill at this point in my life. This handy attachment does the job well. Shocking low price today.
