Our Abandoned Storage Unit Finds

Hello Friend,

A few weeks ago, we bought an abandoned storage unit for just $5. It was some distance away, so we had to rent a Uhaul for $94 to get all the stuff to our garage. It was someone's estate items. The unit hasn't been touched since 2018. The storage garage property owner was finally full in all their other units with a waiting list and had to put it up for auction since no one had been paying on this one for a long time.

We are busy people, so it takes us a while to get through all the items and take them to resale thrift stores, consignment shops, online auction houses or list them on ebay and Etsy.

But I have to tell you about a recent find in that unit that just sold in an online auction. In the photo below, the three highlighted in blue are the ones we sold.

One Washington Silver Quarter sold for $7 and the two Troy Ounce Silver Rounds sold for $47 and $49! Silver is really high right now. Of course we have auction house fees that will come off of those. However, with those and the Stampin Up Rubber Stamps we have been selling on Etsy that were in the unit - now we have paid for the unit, Uhaul, and trash payment - so every additional dollar we make is profit!

We wrote a book on Storage Auction Resale if you think this side hustle would help your family. There is a kindle version as well. We have been doing this side hustle since 2012. Don't try to figure it out the hard way, like we did. There are some things you should know before starting.

One free tip I will tell you today is, "Check every pocket!"

My Website Is Down

This really frustrates me because I pay $40/month for just the host, plus $13/month for the firewall, plus all the other plug ins, legal things, accountant, etc. It's not making us money when it is down. And we recently lost our main income stream, my husband's full time job.

Yesterday, there was "resource limit reached" issues and we found out it was bots from Singapore attacking my site. Crazy! I don't even know anyone from there, like why would they attack me. Yet another reason why I hate with a passion the art. intell. stuff. It's ok to hate technology or entities right? I would say so and rebuke them in the name of Jesus, my Savior.

Today, I can't get in to the backend of my website or even view it. It says, "forbidden".

Pray for me and my family. I am very vocal about my Christian beliefs. I wonder if it is a spiritual attack.

Here is an example of my vocalness...

Featured In Above Rubies Magazine

My article was featured in the Above Rubies magazine (a nonprofit reaching over 80,000 women in print) in the "Vasectomy Reversal Stories" section. You can request a copy of this physical printed magazine #102 to be sent to you at no charge here: Phone : 931-729-9861 Office Hrs 9am - 5pm, M - F, CTZ.

It's really nice that they include my email and blog so that people can contact me. It has encouraged me to share my faith (which is my spiritual gift from God) and hear how it has helped someone. I live in Wisconsin and I have heard from people in Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, Alaska and Colorado so far.

I still have a clipping of an Above Rubies article that I keep in the cover of my Bible that encouraged me from over a decade ago. I am so happy to give back.

What's New In Our Etsy Shop (Storage Auction Find)...

Natural Wool Stuffing, Louet Bobbin, Jacob Handspun Yarn, Estate Sale Lot, Gray White Blue

Have a joy filled day!

Hello Friend, For October, our local public library offered a deal, where your child had a paper and they needed to read 15 minutes a day. Then, they could cross out a pumpkin. After all the pumpkins are colored in or crossed out, you bring it back for rewards. This month's rewards were quite amazing! This is what each of my four children received... Pizza sticks and sauce at a local pizza place (valued at $9.99 each) A small chocolate shake at a fast food place (valued at $2.49 each) a free...

Hello Friend, Have you ever thought about how "less" can become "more"? Here are a few things for you to think about... Less junk food, more nutrients. Less car trips, more exercise. Less sweets, more weight loss. Less possessions, more space. Less self-pity, more happiness. Less presents, more appreciation. Less waste, more conservation. Less electronics (TV, computer, cell phone, etc.), more conversation. Less complaining, more thankfulness. Less sleep, more time in the day (maybe we should...

rubber stamp wheels

Hello Friend, I have been going through auction items to list them online for sale and came across these rubber stamp roll things. I don't know if most people call them Stamp Roll, Stamp Wheel, Circular Stamper. If you have some knowledge about this, please reply and let me know. I appreciate it. My Bread Machine Broke My lovely $5 rummage sale bread machine gave out on me yesterday. I was so sad that I cried about it. I think I just feel overwhelmed trying to do "all the things" right now....
