Frugal Facial Tissue Hack

Hello Friend,

Today, we are going to make frugal facial tissue! Check it out, you may want to try it just for fun with your kids or grandkids today.

We have found that it is very inexpensive to use toilet paper for facial tissue. With toilet paper, you can take the exact amount you need - one, two or three squares. Here is how to make it...

Step 1

Wrap a piece of wide tape around the outside of the roll.

Step 2

Pull out the cardboard tube.

Step 3

Pull the tissue from the inside.

Step 4

Place it in a lovely container. Here are a few ideas...

  • Thirty-One Oh Snap Bin, they are 6 inches wide (link to ebay, not an affiliate link). This is what is shown in these photos. Mine hangs in my laundry room on the white wire racks as I sometimes need it when I am sewing.
  • Cut the bottom out of a square shaped, pop up Kleenex box with the bottom cut out, place it over your roll and pull up from the hole where the Kleenex used to come out.
  • Take a square shipping box you received. Cut the flaps off (that open area will be your bottom. Cut a hole in the other end for the tissue to come out. Wrap it with either wrapping paper, fabric (hot glue it) or decorate it by coloring on it or placing stickers on it. Place it over your roll (with the open side down) and pull the tissue up through the hole.
  • Take a decorative square pop up facial tissue cover (Walmart afflink) and place it over your roll.
