Glass Jars - So Many Uses

Hello Friend,

I absolutely love glass jars! If you have some empty glass jars from purchased food, like pasta sauce, alfredo sauce, salsa or something; let's put them to good use!

9 Ideas For Empty Glass Jars

  • Office containers - To hold rubber bands, paper clips, pens, pencils, highlighters, etc.
  • Keepsake Jar for a Child - Save your child's small treasures, baby jewelry, baby teeth (in a teeny baggie), wristbands of waterparks and excursions, seashells (after washing them), etc.
  • Honey-Do & Thank-You-Honey Jar - Inside the Honey-Do jar, place strips of paper with repairs or fix-it jobs that need to be done, next to it is a Thank-You-Honey jar with strips of paper with thank you coupons for a back rub, a special dessert, two hours to do your hobby without interruption, etc.
  • Chore Jar for Kids - I describe how I use something similar in this article.
  • Containers for Kids - barrettes, ponytail holders, rock collection, marbles, jacks and ball, crayons, coins, etc.
  • Beautiful Bean Decor - These jars are above my kitchen cupboards.
  • Containers for a Healthy Snack - I love to use glass jars with wood lids and spoons for Greek yogurt, (frozen) berries, and granola. It's a great Go-To snack. I got the idea from the movie Freakier Friday, which is really funny and pretty pure. Nothing woke. Not much swearing. It does have a lady that is a psychic/medium though. I like it better than the 2003 version.
  • Holder for Reusable Cotton Facial Rounds - These jars hold your clean cotton facial rounds. Your dirty ones go in a mesh bag, then into the washer and dryer.
  • Salad To Go Jar - The photo below is inside my kitchen cupboard door near where I keep glass jars. I found this clipping in the Better Homes and Gardens magazine from October 2024. When I need to eat on the road, I keep the jar of salad in an insulated bag with an ice pack, plastic fork, paper bowl, napkin and water bottle.

seasonal clothing tracker inventory list

Hello Friend, As a mom of 8 kids, I go through the kids clothing every Spring and Fall. This is how I do it. On a Saturday morning, I hand each older kid a Seasonal Clothing Tracker with the Type of clothing or accessories and sections to write how many they Have of each. I go through the younger kids' clothing at the same time. When I have all the papers, I go through and write how many of each item are Needed. My older kids wash their clothing once a week, so I like them to have at least...

hand holding homemade yellow play dough

Hello Friend, I am a person who loves to give and receive homemade gifts. If you need a gift for a child, I suggest that you look around and see what materials you have on hand. Then, if necessary, purchase inexpensive new materials and save any leftovers for future projects. Here are some ideas: Bean Bags - Use durable material scraps and dried beans or dried corn. A Dress Up Box or Tote - Fill with yard sale finds or items donated by Great Aunt Hazel. Play Dough - I like to place what I...

pantry of canned food

Hello Friend, We did a little grocery shopping again this weekend. I am always shocked by how quickly the prices are rising each time we go. There are currently eight people to feed living in my household and four of us are adults. People often ask how we do it (pay the bills, feed and clothe our large family when they know that my husband has an average full time job with a side hustle of selling on ebay and I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom - who currently works my blog and Etsy shop...
